Come out to the Mattoon American Legion Post #88 on Thursday, May 15th for Longaberger Basket Binga.  The cost is $10.00 for 10 games will all proceeds to benefit Boy Scot Troop #77 and Venture Crew #2088.

The public is invited to a concert of Southern Gospel music by the Gospel Connection (formerly the Pruitts) at 6:30 pm on the 18th of May.  The concert will be at the Winebrenner Church of God at 3rd and Illinois in Mattoon.

Paris First Assembly of God will be presenting a Mystery With a Message play entitled "the Case of the Disappearing Church Choir" on Sunday, May 18th, at 6:00 pm.  this is an audience-participatory mystery in three acts.  You can be involved in solving the mystery.  Find out if you can earn the title "Sherlock", or if you are only an amateur.  First Assembly of God is located at 213 W. Blackburn St. in Paris.

The 8th Annual Coles County Sheriff Darrell Cox Posse Ride will be held on Saturday, June 21st at Owens Motor Sports located between Mattoon and Charleston.  The ride will travel approximately 90 to 100 miles.  Registration is $10.00 per rider with all proceeds to benefit the Coles County Council on Aging for the LifeSpan Center.  A meal of ribeye sandwiches, hamburgers and hot dogs will be provided after the ride.  Registration at Owens begins at 10:00 am and riders leave at noon.
